MALAPPORTIONMENT EXTENT IN MALAYSIA

Below here is Tindak Malaysia’s Interactive Map Application which allows you to know whether your Parliamentary constituency is oversized (too many voters) or undersized (too little voters)

We deem a constituency to be oversized or undersized if the Parliamentary Constituency have an electorate exceeded +/-10% for Regional Electoral Quota (Regional Average) for Peninsular Malaysia Constituencies or exceeded +/-20% from the Regional Electoral Quota (Regional Average) for Sabah or Sarawak Parliamentary Constituencies. This updated deviation limits was first proposed by Tindak Malaysia leadership in April 2023 and will be reflected on Tindak Malaysia’s new contents from August 2023. This represents an ideal deviation limit and it can be implemented if future Boundaries Commission is given power to distribute constituencies throughout Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah/Sarawak/Labuan

Within the current framework, EC should aim to implement these deviation limits within state

If your Parliamentary Constituency exceeded the deviation as mentioned above, please register yourself as an Objector via filling up this form

ALTERNATIVE DUN AND PARLIAMENT PROPOSAL FOR SELANGOR (2021)

Are you a Selangor Voter?

Are YOU willing to be an OBJECTOR for future REDELINEATION?

In this section, we would like to highlight two major proposals. The first proposal would be Selangor’s 56 DUN Constituencies and 22 Parliamentary Constituencies. The second proposal would be involving Selangor’s 66 DUN and 22 Parliamentary Constituencies (which we advocate)

In this section, we would like you to use our interactive map applications to study how fair boundaries can be drawn at DUN and Parliamentary Level for the state. You will understand the possibility to equalize DUNs and Parliamentary seats and respect local ties as much as possible. For urban state like Selangor, we aim to have every DUN to have an electorate population within +/-15% of State DUN Electoral Quota (the average DUN size for Selangor) and as much as possible, the DUN shall reside in one local council area

ALTERNATIVE DUN AND PARLIAMENT PROPOSAL FOR SARAWAK (2021) – OLD

This section should be viewed as old content and please refer to latest proposal here

Are you a Sarawak Voter?

Are you willing to be an OBJECTOR for future REDELINEATION?

In this section, we would like to highlight one proposal. We will compare existing boundaries of 82 DUN constituencies with our proposed fair boundaries of 82 DUN constituencies

In this section, we would like you to use our interactive map applications to study how fair boundaries can be drawn at DUN and Parliamentary Level for the state. You will understand the possibility to equalize DUNs and Parliamentary seats and respect local ties as much as possible. For a state like Sarawak, we aim to have every DUN to have an electorate population within +/-25% of State DUN Electoral Quota (the average DUN size for Selangor) and as much as possible, the DUN shall reside in one local council area

Due to oversized nature of two polling districts – Pujut and Kuala Baram (Pujut in proposed N.73 and Kuala Baram in N.74 where each polling district had greatly exceeding average DUN population), both proposed N.73 and N.74 could not be equalized. Due to packing of great volume of voters in these two polling districts, it creates highly undesirable situation where strict equalization resulted in non allocation of polling districts for two DUNs. Hence, four DUNs in Baram and Limbang area were deliberately undersized to ensure all 82 DUNs are drawn out

Due to very large electorate count of polling district of ‘Airport’, proposed N.70 constituency only have one polling district

The scenario of fair boundaries – 82 DUN and 31 Parliamentary Constituencies

Fair DUN
